What issues should be noted when using a Raymond grinding machine in summer?

As summer approaches, hot temperatures will also follow. For our daily ore grinding and powder production, the safe and stable operation of the Raymond grinding machine in a high-temperature environment is the greatest guarantee for our production. So, in hot weather, what issues should we pay attention to when using the Raymond mill for powder grinding? Today’s article will briefly discuss this topic, hoping to be helpful to our users.

  1. Firstly, in the hot summer environment, the Raymond grinding machine is constantly operating. This will lead to more heat generation. At this time, we should replace the used grease with the high-temperature-resistant grease suitable for summer use. The oil maintenance in summer should also be more frequent, because in a hot environment, the grease evaporates faster. Therefore, the frequency of oiling in summer should be higher than in other seasons.
  2. In high-temperature environments, the motors of our equipment also generate a lot of heat. During summer, continuous operation should be avoided. The equipment must be allowed to work for one shift and then rest to cool down. It cannot operate non-stop like in other seasons for 24 hours a day. Doing so is not beneficial to the equipment.
  3. For the Raymond mill, the most important component is undoubtedly the grinding rolls. This component requires adding a layer of grease once a day in other seasons. Its function is not only to lubricate but also to seal and cool. Therefore, in the high-temperature environment of summer, the frequency of adding grease should be increased to ensure that this part is not short of oil. Then, the bearings inside will be less likely to get dusty and there will be no problem of damaged bearings.

In a high-temperature environment, our maintenance work should be particularly careful. During the normal production process, we should pay more attention to observing. If any minor problems are found, they should be dealt with and solved promptly. If the screws become loose, they should be tightened immediately. If there is a leakage problem, it should be sealed tightly in time, and then normal production can resume.
